2. General information
This website is an information site. It uses no tracking or analytics cookies, no analytics services and no advertising networks. Fonts, images and all other resources are served from our own server; we embed no third-party services such as Google Fonts or a content delivery network.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website and our mail server run on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Deutschland. The server is located in Germany, and a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
When you visit the website, the web server automatically logs what your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the resource requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers. These logs serve only the secure and reliable operation of the site. We do not merge them with other data sources and do not analyse them to identify individuals. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, that is our legitimate interest in the technically sound delivery and the security of the website. The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
4. Local storage (colour scheme)
Your choice between the light and dark colour scheme is stored exclusively in your browser (localStorage). No data is transmitted to us or to third parties.
5. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us by e-mail, your message reaches our own mail server, which runs on the same server in Germany. We process your sender address and the content of your message solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). Our replies are sent via the delivery provider named in section 7.
Please bear in mind that unencrypted e-mail is not fully protected in transit. For confidential material we are happy to agree on another channel.
We delete messages once they are no longer required to handle your enquiry and no commercial or tax retention periods apply.
6. Contact form
If you use the contact form, we process the details provided there, namely name, your company if you choose to give it, e-mail address and message text, solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Transmission is encrypted via TLS throughout.
To fend off automated bulk submissions, we limit how many times the form can be sent from one IP address. For this the server keeps your IP address in memory for 15 minutes and then discards it; it is not written to disk. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, that is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse.
7. AI check
If you complete the assessment, we process your name, your company where you choose to give it, your e-mail address and your answers to the fourteen questions. We use these details to show you the result, to send it to you by e-mail and to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, given when you submit the form and revocable at any time with effect for the future.
No automated decision within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. The figure produced is an assessment of your routines and has no legal effect for you.
The assessment collects no location data and uses no analytics or tracking tools. As with the contact form we limit how many times it can be submitted from one IP address; that address stays briefly in memory and is not written to disk.
8. E-mail delivery provider
To deliver form submissions and our e-mail replies we use Lettermint B.V., Willemsvaart 16 B, 8019 AB Zwolle, Netherlands. The sender and recipient addresses, the subject and the content of the message are transmitted in the process. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Lettermint processes e-mail data within the European Union. When we reply to the address you provide, the message is transmitted to your chosen e-mail provider; its processing location depends on your choice of provider. We do not disclose data for advertising purposes and enable neither open nor click tracking.
9. Your rights
With regard to your personal data, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
